A new application has gone into Flintshire for an extension to the Bank Farm site into the adjacent field, with a new entrance off Lower Mountain road to enable HGVs to access the site.

UPDATE: FLINTSHIRE PLANNING DEPARTMENT DID NOT CONSIDER THE APPLICATION SUFFICIENTLY DIFFERENT FROM THE PREVIOUS APPLICATION WHICH WAS REFUSED BY THE FIRST MINISTER. FOR THIS REASON, THE APPLICATION IS NOT BEING CONSIDERED.

This is a new application to build 12 executive homes on Bank Farm, once again outside the settlement boundary, after the demolition of the existing derelict farm buildings. Planning applications have been refused before and appealed unsuccessfully.

All the objections to the Redrow Chester Road application apply to this one, apart from scale. One additional concern is that by building well outside the settlement boundary, it will set a precedent which will later be used to define 'in-fill' with future developments.
